I bought my first camera 30 years ago. It changed my life. I love photography and I believe the camera is the most powerful tool for capturing small yet momentous moments – the connections of this life, saved forever, long after we have forgotten. I really believe there are moments in time we would not truly see or remember – until we photograph them.
Born and raised in New Zealand, my first years were spent roaming the hills and farms of the South Island. I now live in Qatar. I love meeting new people and experiencing a small piece of their everyday lives – the ephemeral beauty of those inner and outer moments. I strive to create exquisite, dreamy and light-filled scenes, full of natural textures that complement those moments.
My hope is that someone looking at the final image can experience the beauty, emotion and energy – as if they were there. Sometimes, I search so hard for words. Photography has become the language my heart speaks. It is a language that can be understood anywhere in the world.
During a 30-year career as a photographer, I have had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of families and children, sharing and portraying some of their most treasured memories. I have also brought ideas to life for an array of commercial clients.
